Storyboard

Purpose

To document a continuous improvement project through descriptive pictures and graphs accompanied by simple text.

Guidelines

  1. The team should begin developing the process storyboard at the beginning of their process study and keep it updated after major milestones.

  2. Keep the information clear, concise, and simple. It should include the highlights, not every activity of the team.

  3. Use the storyboard to chart progress and to keep others informed. Teams may want to display poster-sized copies for viewing by non-team members.

  4. Use pictures, graphs, and data wherever possible rather than narrative. Narratives should be succinct and to the point, rather than overly descriptive.
